IPU Venture was established with the aim of providing the opportunity to collaborate with new partners within defined limits. The object is to test collaborations and to develop specialist fields prior to allotting them actual section status.

By doing this, over the years, IPU has collaborated on bioengineering with the DTU department BioCentrum, on chemical engineering with the Department of Chemical Engineering, on further MMT education with the TEM Center at DTU, on mathematical modeling with the DTU IMM Department, the Department of Mathematical Modelling and on Communication, Optics and Materials in collaboration with the Department of Photonics Engineering, on nanotechnology with the Center for Nanotechnology at DTU, and on electrical engineering with the Department of Electrical Engineering. 

Other activities in collaboration with DTV in the field of knowledge and communication have developed into being, today, part of IPU Product Development. The activities in the field of industrial engineering and sustainability in collaboration with DTU Management are now part of IPU Venture. 

Ongoing work is being done to establish new collaborations with other DTU departments in new fields.
