The risk of corrosion in electronics is very significant today due to continued miniaturization together with factors such as bias voltage, globalization of production, wide spread usage, and the use of multi material combinations.

IPU provides consultancy within the field of “corrosion reliability of electronics”, and is participating in an innovations consortium called “Centre for Electronic Corrosion, CelCorr” www.CelCorr.com, which combines research, technology, and innovation for solving electronic corrosion.

IPU can perform tests and analysis via the CelCorr laboratories http://www.celcorr.com/Laboratory.html. The equipment in these laboratories includes various newly developed test methods, such as microelectrochemical measurement and characterization directly on electronic components or PCB’s with down to 10μm lateral solution, or migration tests on single or multi components in micro climatic chamber.

Workshops and education for industrial groups can be ordered from IPU. The content can be tailored for the specific purpose (problems, situations, tasks etc.) of the group.
