Now IPU og DTU offer chemical analysis of materials and surface with Glow Discharge Optical Emission Spectroscopy – GD-OES.

GD-OES has the following advantages as:

· Both of surface and bulk can be analyzed. For surface analysis a depth profile is provided.

· 43 elements can be analyzed at same time, including hydrogen, carbon, oxygen, nitrogen, chloride and all metals.

· Analysis is performed fast (1-10 μm/min.)

· and relatively thick layer up to 0,15 mm can be investigated.

· all electrical conductive materials can be analyzed.
