The large number of small and complex metal components that go into a modern product are traditionally made by machining. Alternatively, they can be cold forged. This generates:

• Better strength
• Higher tolerances
• Up to 100 times greater productivity
• Less waste of material

Better strength is achieved through the hardening that occurs during the deformation process. Often, this makes it possible to use smaller components, which is important for the quality of, e.g., mobile telephones and hearing aids.
