IPU and DTU Food work together to build up an approved and accredited test centre for hygienic design. This centre will render possible testing and approval of equipment according to the guidelines of the European Hygienic Engineering and Design Group (EHEDG), and counselling and courses in hygienic design will be offered to industry. The courses will be provided in cooperation with EHEDG Denmark.

This web page will continually be updated on the test centre and the courses. At present, the centre is offering:

• Evaluation of equipment regarding cleaning-friendliness and hygienic design.
• Test of open equipment regarding cleaning-friendliness and hygienic design.
• Examination of the production premises and production equipment in preparation for controlling the level of contamination and prevention of microbial growth in end products.
• Courses adjusted to companies in prevention of microbiological problems in end products with a special focus on mould.
