Quality design
The purpose of the course is to provide participants with ways of thinking and tools that prepare them for carrying out development projects, which focus on the product quality as perceived by the customers. The course illustrates 'best practice' on how, when and what methods to use to support the creation of quality in the product development process.
The following topics are covered during the course:
- What is quality design?
- Analysis of stakeholders and their role
- Obtainment of customer statements
- Quantitative analysis
- The three QFD matrices (Quality Function Deployment).
- Identification and deconstruction of quality goals for product, selected sub-systems and components
- Guidelines for quality design
The course is intended for marketing, development and design professionals primarily in the mechanical and mechatronical industry.
The duration of the course is usually one day.
The course is made up of a number of presentations supplemented with discussions and minor exercises.
The teaching staff is made up of IPU staff with many years of experience in completing development and design projects, where particular focus has been placed on quality-creation.
The course is a standard course, which can be adapted to fit the individual company.
