The E-series is structured with functional modules which during assembly can be mounted on rails from the front. The assembly time could hereby be reduced to one third while the serviceability was increased dramatically. We systematized the design reuse of drawing and purchase identities. e.g. by adopting a modular and self-supporting chassis/housing system. The participation of IPU contributed substantially to lowering both direct and indirect production costs significantly, and doubling our production capacity for three-phase products without investing in tooling and production facilities.«
