»With the introduction of the Commandor/Navigator/Pilot product family, Migatronic has at one stroke set new standards for both welding properties and product modularisation.

In collaboration with our technical staff, IPU has structured the product family so that the costumer can configure his new welding machine to match his own needs exactly. This is achieved without abandoning the advantages of series production, since the client-specific variants, seen from the point of view of production, appear as a combination of a number of known and tested functional modules.

Among the other noteworthy results of the project we can mention a reduction in the size of the finished goods store and in the value of work-in-progress, the fact that the machines have become much easier to service, and a considerable shortening of the throughput time for production«
