»In cooperation with Invacare EC-Høng A/S and Klaus B. Dyhr, IPU has participated in developing a new hand control. Development has taken place in close co-operation with the user. In this project, IPU has worked on conceptual development, industrial design, user involvement and operation design.

Earlier, a bed would contain one or two motors. Today, the users' increased demands and needs have caused a typical bed to contain four motors. Hence, demands for a user-friendly hand control have been considerably intensified.

The assistance of IPU has helped ensure optimal user involvement in development of the new hand control. Invacare EC-Høng A/S now has a hand control that the user can and dares use. The product has contributed to exposing Invacare EC-Høng A/S as being an innovative company that listens to the user.«
