»When we develop new analyzers for the food processing industry at Foss Electric A/S, we build on extensive insight into the conditions and situation of our customers.

In spite of this, it is often difficult for the project manager and the design team to handle customer requirements as systematically as one would like. In close collaboration with IPU, we have therefore in a number of projects utilizedmethods for Design for Quality (DFQ), which step by step support our stakeholder analysis as well as the collection, processing, structuring and weighting of customer requirements. Since the resources used are proportional wih the number of customers contacted, it is very important early to clarify who are the most important customers. The strenght of DFQ lies in the systematics, which contributes to discovering surprising viewpoints, denial or confirmation of dogmas and assumptions, and above all to ensuring the overview.

It is our experience that the methodology of IPU can substantially improve the basis of making the optimal design and project decisions. Hereby the work of the projct manager is facilitated significantly.«
