»A hard disc recorder used for recording and playing TV programmes is part of the Bang & Olufsen range of products. When developing the hard disc recorder, Bang & Olufsen wished to outsource those parts of the engineering development work outside their own key competences.

It was therefore decided to let IPU manage the mechanical development and carry through the main part of the development work concerning the mechanical structure of the product. The project was carried out in close cooperation with the industrial designer and development department of Bang & Olufsen, thus building in the key competences of the company within industrial design, mechanics, electronics and software.

The result is a high end hard disc recorder that strictly observes the high quality standards of Bang & Olufsen, where industrial design, performance and noise level are concerned.«
