»Development of new products which meet the customer's needs is one of the most important competitive parameters in the market for ostomy equipment. Recognition of  this fact is what lies behind Coloplast's Ostomy Products Division's decision to introduce Integrated Product Development.

In collaboration with IPU, a group of our own staff members created the code of practice which we now follow in all our development projects. In order to ensure that this code of practice was followed, we have chosen to formulate a procedure. This contains a milestone plan, description of management and control documents, and a description of the rôles and responsibilities of the management group, project leader, and project participants. In addition, we have in collaboration with IPU held seminars and courses to introduce the new attitudes, practices, and tools.

With our new code of practice, we are well on our way to increasing the targeting, efficiency, and speed of our projects.«
