Environmentally optimised technological innovation - secures sustainability of technical optimisations

Technological innovation is a key term for knowledge-intensive and high-technology companies that want to survive in the years to come. But is the actual innovation environmentally sustainable and thus economically viable in the long-term?

Our consultancy assistance on environmental optimisation in combination with applying technological innovation to processes/products in an industrial company may lead to:

The consultancy assistance may cover, e.g.,  process analysis, process optimisation and process validation combined with environmental process assessments – including resource consumption - and life cycle screenings of selected products. Scope and level of detail is arranged on a case-by-case basis with the client. 

The consultancy assistance is based on IPU’s long-running experience with technological innovation in terms of design, structural design, shaping, and surface treatment, as well as environmental assessments of products and cleaner technology in a large number of industries. These are, for instance, the iron and metal industry, the printing industry, the pulp and paper industry, the chemicals industry, the packaging industry, the wood and furniture industry, the electromechanical industry, the transportation sector, the energy sector, the construction sector, the car industry, the textile industry and the industrial laundry business. Also, the close ties with the relevant research environments at DTU are utilised.
