IPU Fonden

IPU Fonden is an independent commercial foundation.

It started in 1956 by 4 DTU Professors.

  • The purpose was to bring new technologies to the industry and to give feedback from the industry to DTU about which research and development would be valuable from a commercial perspective.
  • In 2022 the board of the commercial foundation IPU changed its company structure and transferred all business activities to a new company called IPU P/S.
  • Separating the foundation activities and business activities is in line with good governance and will increase the opportunities for growth in the business through the recruitment of partners to IPU P/S.
  • IPU Fonden is – and will continue to be – the majority owner of IPU P/S.
